AR.PE.PE Nebbiolo Tasting With Michael Wheeler from PDX Wines

Tuesday, April 18 6-7:30 p.m.

We're tasting of superb Nebbiolos from the Perego family, one of the finest producers you’ve never heard of in Lombardy.

The Perego family have been tending vines on sheer granite terraces in the mountainous Valtellina since 1860. They work only with Nebbiolo grown high above sea level on vines that dig straight into rock. The transparency of the grape, the singular landscape, and the Peregos’ gentle hand in the cellar lend these wines a remarkable sense of place.

We will feature six of their wines, beginning with the 2002 Sassella Rocce and continuing with wines from 2005, 2006, 2010, and 2012.

This is a drop-in tasting and no prior reservations are necessary. Tasting fee: $10.

Thursday, April 27 - 6:30 p.m. sharp

Please join us for a comprehensive tasting of the superb Sherries from Emilio Lustau. We will feature many of their Almacenistas (family-owned soleras) alongside some of their most unique sherries.
