The Bodegas Frontonio is dedicated to reviving the ancient heritage of this out-of-the-way place. Working with ancient Garnacha and Macabeo vines - among others - their wines offer impressive depth, tension, and complexity from high elevation vineyards. The Microcosmico is their flagship white, and offers a rich array of aromas, from Bartlett Pear butter, almond, granny smith apples and seashells, to star fruit, crême fraiche, and fleur de sel. The palate is of citrus, apple, limes, salty minerals, full bodied but zesty with acidity. This wine is a great value at the normal price. At $20 it's officially a steal.
