The Envinate group comprise some of the finest winemakers in all of Spain. While most of their vineyards are in cool, ocean-adjacent climates in Galicia or the Canary Islands, the Albahra wine comes from Almansa, on the eastern edge of La Mancha's highland plateau. Made from mostly the red-fleshed Garnacha Tintorera with the local favorite Moravia Agria and achieves a beautiful sense of balance. Aromas of red cherry, orange blossom, and gravelly earth lead in to a medium bodied palate with close cropped tannins and waves of black cherry fruit that develops notes of dry herbs and dusty earth towards the finish.
