Tempranillo from Toro is usually a pretty chunky wine, but Alvaro de Dios Hernandez had other ideas. In this fun little wine, he's managed to capture the deep, stewy fruit of Toro and a waft of intense barrel spice, but the texture is refreshingly elegant. Not to say light, because this is still a muscular Toro, but it moves elegantly across the palate.
