Hanson Vineyards’ wines are a constant surprise. Drawn from creekside vineyards planted on an old berry patch in the mixed farm country north of Silverton, the Hanson family’s address is many miles away from the hills that support the majority of the Willamette Valley’s vineyards. Despite this distance, winemaker Jason Hanson has found something in these vineyards that many wineries in the hills are still searching for. With low intervention farming and simple winemaking, the winery turns out a menu of complex, satisfying wines with a distinctive personality every vintage.
