One of the few remaining Chiantis that proudly includes the traditional white varieties Malvasia and Trebbiano alongside Sangiovese and Colorino. The Garrulo, named for the songbirds that nest around the vineyards, is aged in glass-lined concrete vats to preserve freshness. Don't mistake this for a simple wine, the 2021 edition has plenty of power too. Aromas of black cherry, red clay and osso bucco jus, come with a touch of pepper. The palate is full of cherries, raspberries, cinnamon stick and sturdy but refined and silky tannins made out of fired clay that last through the finish.
